Claire Hinchcliffe, Director
Claire Hinchcliffe has over 10 years experience in social and market research and is one of the founding directors of Ignition House. Claire focuses on research and project management and quality assurance.
Claire has a varied research background having worked both client and agency-side in the public, charity and private sectors. Prior to Ignition House, Claire worked at IQ Research focusing on B2B research in the life and pensions arena but also delivering a range of B2C projects on topics as diverse as pesticides, duty-free shopping and data protection.
Before this, Claire worked for the Pensions Regulator where she developed her technical pensions knowledge and an appreciation of the issues associated with conducting financial services research.
Over the years, Claire has been part of the Government Social Research service for around six years, beginning her career as a social researcher at the Department for Work and Pensions before moving on to work for the Department for Education and Skills. Later, Claire was a researcher on rural affairs for the Scottish Executive. Through these tenures Claire gained experience of an array of social research methodologies and issues and an appreciation of the rigours of conducting publicly sponsored research.
Claire has also worked as a market researcher for a university, leading on Continuing Professional Development , where she developed her market research capabilities.
